Service of Praise & Thanksgiving

Selsey Lifeboat Station

Join us for a special Service in the Boathouse at Selsey Lifeboat Station on Sunday 26th July, starting at 6.30pm.
This welcoming community service will offer a time for reflection, prayer and thanksgiving, while recognising the work of the lifeboat crew and everyone who supports the station.
Everyone is welcome to attend and share in this meaningful start to Selsey Lifeboat Week.

Ahoy, young adventurers! Join us for the brand-new Tots Treasure Hunt on Tuesday 28th July, specially designed for younger children as part of Selsey Lifeboat Week.

Set off anytime between 4pm and 4.30pm from Selsey Lifeboat Station, follow the clues and finish your adventure at The Fisherman’s Joy.

Entry is just £1 per child, with proceeds supporting Selsey Lifeboat Station. A fun little adventure for tots to explore, discover and hunt for treasure while helping a brilliant local cause.

Walking Treasure Hunt

Starts at The Fisherman's Joy, finishes at The Seal Hotel

Set off on a fun-filled Walking Treasure Hunt as part of Selsey Lifeboat Week on Tuesday 28th July.

The hunt starts at 6 -6.30pm from The Fisherman’s Joy and finishes at The Seal. Follow the clues, explore the local area and see whether you can solve the challenge along the way.

Entry is £2 for adults and £1 for children, with proceeds supporting Selsey Lifeboat Station. A great evening for families, friends and teams of all ages — explore, solve and discover while supporting your local lifeboat crew.

Calling all bakers! Take part in The Great Lifeboat Week Bake Off on Thursday 30th July at The Hopp Inn.
Bring along your best homemade creation, with judging taking place at 7pm and cash prizes up for grabs. Entry is just £2 per bake, with proceeds supporting Selsey Lifeboat Station.
After the judging, stay and enjoy an Old Skool Disco Nite from 8pm to 10.30pm. Great cakes, classic tunes and a brilliant evening in support of your local lifeboat crew.

Bring your four-legged friend along to the Selsey Lifeboat Week Fun Dog Show on Saturday 1st August, starting at 9am on the Lifeboat Green, Selsey.

With categories including Puppy, Prettiest Bitch, Most Handsome Dog, Best Rescue, Golden Oldie, Dog Most Like Owner and Best in Show, there is something for dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Entry is just £2 per category, with all proceeds supporting Selsey Lifeboat Station. A brilliant morning for dogs, owners and spectators — all in aid of a great cause.

Selsey Lifeboat Station

Join us at Selsey Lifeboat Station for an action-packed 999 Services Day on Saturday 1st August, from 10am to 3pm, as part of Selsey Lifeboat Week.
Step aboard the lifeboats, meet the RNLI crew and get up close to vehicles and equipment from the Coastguard, Police, Fire and Ambulance services. It is a brilliant family day out and a great chance to learn more about the people who help keep our community safe.
Come along, meet the teams and support your local lifeboat crew — together, we save lives at sea.

Selsey Lifeboat Station

Selsey RNLI Fishing Competition
Join us for a friendly day of fishing while helping raise funds for Selsey RNLI.
The competition takes place on Saturday 1st August 2026, with entrants meeting at Selsey Lifeboat Station at 10:45am ready for an 11:30am start. The competition will finish at 4:30pm.
Entry is £20 per person, with cash prizes available.
Requirements
Participants must:
Bring their own fishing rod
Practise ethical fishing
Register and pay the entry fee in advance
Have fun while supporting the RNLI
Registration and payment must be completed by 25th July 2026.

Tug of War

Lifeboat Green

Tug of War Competition
Get your team together and take part in the Selsey Lifeboat Week Tug of War Competition, proudly sponsored by S-FABS.
There will be separate competitions for adults and children, with matches played in a best-of-three rounds format. Each round lasts a maximum of 2 minutes, and the winning team is the first to pull the opposing team across the centre line.
Team Rules
Each team must consist of 6 players, with one player nominated as the team captain.
No substitutions are allowed once a match has started, unless approved by the organisers.
Prizes
Prizes will be available for the winning teams.

There is loads happening on Lifeboat Green, Selsey, throughout Sunday 2nd August as part of Selsey Lifeboat Week.
Come along and enjoy a packed day of stalls, wellbeing activities, family entertainment, a funfair and live music. Whether you are popping down for a browse, bringing the family for the afternoon or staying into the evening, there will be plenty to see and do.
The day finishes with headline act Fret-Wire taking to the stage at 6pm, all in support of Selsey Lifeboat Station.

Head to Selsey Lifeboat Station, the beach and Lifeboat Green to watch the crew launch the lifeboat and enjoy an exciting display on the water.
A brilliant family afternoon and a great opportunity to support Selsey Lifeboat Station and the volunteers who help save lives at sea.
